Since starting his publishing career in 1975, John Reinhardt has designed more than two thousand books. He has worked as a production manager and director of operations for a publishing company, a production/art director for a newspaper publishing company, a senior designer for a book design company, and currently owns his own book design business (John Reinhardt Book Design) he started in 1992. John has a strong background in book design, having studied under several notable designers/mentors. He thrives on the challenges of bringing the printed word to the reader in the most engaging and comprehensible way possible. No matter the subject matter, John approaches each book as if it were his own. Concentrating on the connection between author and reader, John designs to bring the two together as one. John studied at Layton School of Art (Milwaukee, WI) and Parkland Junior College (Champaign, IL). Since she was a little girl LaNaye has been involved in entrepreneurship, teaching and passionate about African American history! She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Marketing at Morgan State University, Baltimore, MD and her Master’s degree in Education at National Louis University, Chicago IL. Currently, LaNaye operates a hand-beaded jewelry Company, Seisyn (pronounced “season”) that is flourishing into a museum centered on the African American experience in Chicago from 1900-1970’s: The Black Chicago Museum. Besides being a successful entrepreneur LaNaye has been teaching in the Chicago Public Schools for 6 years. Adrian Dortch studied music and business at Columbia College in Chicago. His passion for business and music led him to establish Big Banc Productions in 1997. Big Banc Productions is a full service multimedia and creative consulting company specializing in music production and recording, as well as songwriting, composition, marketing, promotion, theatrical productions, photography, and film. Some of his clients, among others, have included Oprah Winfrey, Seal, David Foster, Snoop Dogg, Paul Ank, McDonalds, and Chicago’s WGCI radio. As a part of his weight loss journey, Adrian competed on the nationally televised weight loss show NBC’s The Biggest Loser. By transforming his lifestyle, reversing his negative diagnoses through health and wellness, Adrian’s toil and devotion led him to victory in eight and a half months, losing 200 pounds. Adrian continues to be a shining example for his family, friends, and community as he joins forces with other stars to help put an end to obesity.
Mrs. Clark is a retired Teacher from the Public and Private school systems. Mrs. Clark has more than 39 years of experience in teaching General and Special Needs Students. After retirement, she continued to work with at-risk students in the Orion’s Mind program. Her passion is to focus on helping children reach their full potential through various learning style. A North Carolina native, Mrs. Clark holds a Bachelor’s Degree from St. Augustine’s College in Raleigh, N.C. Completed graduate coursework at Northeastern Illinois University and Chicago State University.
Martrice Caldwell is a Senior Accountant in the YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago’s Government, Contracts and Grants Group. She is the accountant for the senior housing facilities that the YMCA manages. In this role she performs month-end close, prepares and analyzes monthly financial statements and assists with the external audit. Prior to joining the YMCA, Martrice was a senior associate in PwC’s Private Company Services group, where she worked in the tax practice. Martrice became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in 2005 and has been operating a tax practice since 2007.
