Author Tour & Book Updates
Dear Readers & Leaders,
Thank you for taking the opportunity to visit our link. Rivers Ink is the home of Turn the Pages. Rivers Ink, originally a children’s book publishing company that produced school visits. The school visits included a reading from author Jordan Rivers, taking pictures on the red carpet and book signings. We found great joy in encouraging children and their families to read as well as making them smile as they enjoyed meeting an author of a book they have come to love. In all of our school visits we realized that there are so many beautiful children from all backgrounds that need to read about heroes who look just like them. That’s when the Rivers Ink team thought it would be best to restructure Rivers Ink by producing quality books for minorities and add Turn the Pages to keep our mission of encouraging future leaders to read. Now, Rivers Ink will publish children’s books for African American, Native American, Hispanics and people of Asian descent. We need more diversity in children’s literature and we want to make sure that all of our children can envision themselves as the heroes that they are and or will be in the near future. Turn the Pages is now a non-profit organization that is solely responsible to encourage children to read by author visits, contest, as well as reading and writing workshops.
Thank you so much for your patience as we reconstruct Rivers Ink and continue to frame Turn the Pages!
